Though unintended, this show has a subtle undertone of examples where the intended actions of our subjects act against their own best interests. We start off with a lengthy discussion of the new Terminator film, which has done a great job of further sinking the franchise. We move into the fun world of jury duty for a bit, then skate into the current Republican war on itself. We finish with the fun of indefinite incarceration, that nutty Kim Jong Il and a little bit o' Blackwater. Enjoy!

Felt obliged to say hi as I\'ve been silent for a few weeks. I was on holiday. It was nice (even the French).

Anyways back on track and well... As always a shit-funny and honest film review. Ta.

GIJoe was always this game to sell action figures. What I loved most about GIJoe growing up is that they provided me with the springboard to creat my own worlds using their characters. I was never hugely impressed with the comic book and the show was cartoon favorite for easy nature. I mean come on, that many laser bursts and no one dies, lol. This new GIJoe movie is just trying to use the brand ID to get people come in. It could be called, Super Agents, or Team America (lol), and people would come see it. Will it be good? Who knows. Do I want it to be good? I always want them to be good. I\'ll try to see it when it comes out and hope for the best while keeping in mind hollywood\'s penchant for crap. But hey, Ray Park is about the best Snake Eyes I could imagine and if they just let him have some good fights without overdoing the fucking CG, it might save whatever else the mess the movie might become. I mean, I hate Phantom Menace, but you never forget Darth Maul kicking the shit out of people. Let\'s hope that Hollywood can play with their GIJoes as well as we did in our youth.

Well I don\'t know much of the backstory for GI Joe to be honest. I\'ve never read the comic books, and I never really watched the cartoons when I was a kid either. But I\'m hoping it will be a good action type movie, but I\'m not getting my hopes up for a summer blockbuster either. What I forgot to mention in my last comment though was my initial reaction to the trailer. At first I had no clue it had to do with GI Joe. When I saw the two soldiers or whatever they were running down the street they where in some weird armor that reminded me of Crysis. And couldn\'t help but think they where making a movie about Crysis. It wasn\'t until the two ninja\'s at the end of the trailer with the swords that I realized it wasn\'t Crysis. Then it showed the title of the movie.

guys! i gotta say, all the bad reviews of the new terminator flick nearly pout me off going to see it, but i gotta admit, i thought it was great!
having gone in with low expectations, i was pleasantly surprised how much i liked the grungey, bleak feel, my only real criticism is it did not need Bale as connor, and it shouldve been Sam Worthingtons film (as it already is). I found that it embraced some of the feel of the TV show Sarah Connor Chronicles, mixed with a balls out war film (it was very LOUD). If anything, I wouldve personally liked an even darker film myself. As for the chairs / screens in skynet, i just read between the lines that, that was the original skynet building before the AI took over and the factory building the T-800s was in initial production. other than that i throughly enjoyed it, and think the director did a great job of shrugging off his undeserved reputation. let\'s face it, it was no Richard Kelly Southland Tales disaster or a M. Night Shyamalan fuck up... The Happening... shoulda been called WTF??? :-D keep up the good work guys, i love listening to ur podcast, all the way over here in the UK.

There is another summer movie to be looking forward to. I just saw the trailer for GI Joe and it\'s coming out August 7th. I thought the trailer looked pretty good.

Are you guys looking forward to it, or have you already given up hope?
